Michael Grant and Stephanie Katherine Grant are an award winning brother-sister writing and directing team.

Together, they have helmed short films that have screened all over the world, including the Cannes Short Corner, Calgary (Oscar Qualifier), Flickers’ Rhode Island (Oscar Qualifier) and LA Shorts (Oscar Qualifier) film festivals. They have also directed commercial fashion campaigns for brands Brandy Melville and J. Lindeberg under the HarisGrant Productions banner. In 2018, Michael and Stephanie Katherine directed a documentary film, Ekota (“strength and unity in love” in Bengali), for the nonprofit organization FILI-INC. Ekota documents the life and plight of a nun in Kolkata, India, combatting human trafficking one child at a time for over 25 years.

Their latest project, a short film entitled Kepley (2021), is a neo-noir thriller starring EMMY- nominee Elizabeth Mitchell and Aaron Stanford. Kepley has garnered international acclaim and numerous awards, including Best Short and Best Cinematography at the Montreal Independent Film Festival and Best Director at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Kepley has screened in competition at the Flickers’ Rhode Island, Orlando (Nominee), Richmond, and Beaufort (Nominee) film festivals, among many others.

In addition to his directing work, Michael starred as a series regular on the ABC Family teen drama Secret Life of the American Teenager. Additionally, he has had leading roles on hit shows such as Brooklyn Nine Nine, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Pretty Little Liars, Criminal Minds, among many others. Outside of his work in television, Michael starred in the Newport Beach Film Festival hit Summer of 8 and the Lifetime original film Zoe Gone. For his work in Where Hope Grows (Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions), Michael won a Young Artist Award for Best Actor in a Feature Film. He most recently starred as LCpl. Jordan Haerter in the heroic true story, The 11th Order.
